2015 and Beyond

The AARC’s 2015 & Beyond focus group published their recommendations for the future of respiratory care in Respiratory Care this year. Recommendations included the retirement of the CRT exam and a provision to move the profession’s entrance requirements towards a bachelor’s degree.

2011 RCSW President Scott Mahoney has appointed an ad hoc committee to develop a position statement on respiratory therapy education in Washington State. The committee is chaired by Jon Jahns, MA RRT, a delegate of the RCSW.

The ad hoc committee will work towards recommendations for the RCSW BOD. More to come.
