Our volunteersOn Sunday, May 22nd, the RCSW Student Engagement Committee partnered with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and volunteered at the Great Strides Event, held at Seattle Center near the Pacific Science Center. Great Strides provides a great opportunity for people within the community to get involved in a great cause, to find a cure for cystic fibrosis!

Students from the different programs started at 8am in the morning, setting up tents, booths, and tables, folding shirts, hanging banners, and inflating a huge welcome arch. Around 10am, other students helped mark the route with signs and later put on neon vests to assist the walkers with route support and flagging. The event turned out to be a huge success for the CF Foundation raising over $240,000!

We look forward to working with the CF Foundation again in the future. Thank you to Rachel Patla from Seattle Central College for coordinating this event with Laura from the CF Foundation.
